The model for the bronze ‘Weiblicher Kopf’ by Marg Moll, known to date only in a single cast, can be dated to around 1936. The artist had most of her works cast in very small editions, whereby the absence of a foundry mark – as in the present case – can often be observed. Unfortunately, all of the artist’s documents relating to her oeuvre created up to the Second World War were destroyed during an air raid on Berlin in 1944.
